We are seeking two enthusiastic, engaged people with a passion for PE, Outdoor Education or Sport to work as Teaching Assistants within our Health Faculty.
The successful candidates will work across the following areas of the Health Faculty, PE, Outdoor Education and Sport. Day to day tasks may include administrative duties, sorting out sport equipment, assisting with the preparation of equipment for Outdoor Education, assisting teachers in learning spaces or any number of daily tasks associated with the Faculty. This is a role full of variety, learning opportunities and positive challenges.
Whilst experience as a teaching assistant is not required applicants should have a passion for one of the areas and experience/knowledge in the following:
- Experience in at least one of the following: PE and Health, Outdoor Education or Sports
- Have or be willing to gain a heavy vehicle (light rigid) Drivers and PPV licence.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Proven organisational skills, including an ability to prioritise tasks.
- Ability to assist with the guiding supervision of students within the classroom, on school excursions and at sporting activities.
Both roles are fixed-term, commencing on 23 January 2025 and finishing on 12 December 2025. They are part-time, 2 days and 3 days per week respectively and are term time only.
Ideally the successful applicants for these roles will have some flexibility in their working week to suit the needs of the faculty as required.
