Alumni Reps Quarterly Meeting | February 2024

The Friends’ Alumni Reps met on 28 February 2024, welcoming new Principal Esther Hill to her first meeting. Included here is a summary of topics discussed: 

  • An update from Principal Esther Hill around the current and future focus of the School including the implementation of the Learning at Friends 2024  Plus program (L@F24+) that commenced this year. 
  • An update from Community Engagement with the success of the Friends’ Food Fair in November, and a School Fair in May 2024 coming up. We also had a number of important reunions over the last 4 months including the Class of 2018, Class of 2022, our Melbourne alumni events  and the ever popular 50+ in February 2024 which had 160 attendees.   • The discussion then moved to a review of the initiatives and activities each of our Reps is undertaking, including co-curricular reunions, sports anniversary celebrations, alumni and current student correspondence, welcoming a past staff reunion, the alumni mentoring program including careers and mentor videos and the annual awarding of school pins to our incoming Year 7 students.
